The end-of-day report's Billed vs actual hours by driver table now tells you where each driver's Actual hours figure came from. Hours are payroll-sourced unless marked — that's the convention, and the report states it in the PDF legend.
The default: payroll
Most figures come straight from your payroll system's punches. Those rows carry no mark at all: an unmarked number is a payroll number.
Marked figures
When a final figure comes from somewhere else, the report says so:
Cortex — no payroll hours were recorded for that driver, so the hours come from their Cortex route sessions.
Cortex, punch open — the payroll punch was still open at the report cutoff, so the figure comes from Cortex and doesn't include post-trip time at the station.
Override — the figure was manually set by a manager.
Where you see the marks
On screen, a marked figure gets a dotted underline — hover it and the report explains the source in a sentence.
In the PDF, the label is appended to the figure itself — for example "8.4 (Cortex)" — and the legend under the table reads "Hours are payroll-sourced unless marked."
Unfinished days still show muted, non-final figures as before; the source marks only appear on final hours.
