The marketplace (Scheduling → Marketplace) is one place for everything drivers and managers trade: open shifts, VTO offers, and driver drop and swap requests. When the marketplace is off, it's hidden from drivers entirely — they can't drop, swap, or claim shifts. Turn it on under Scheduling → Configuration, in the Manager preferences tab's "Shift marketplace" section, where you can also choose whether driver drops and swaps auto-publish or wait for your review.
What flows through the marketplace
Four kinds of postings appear here. An open shift is an unassigned shift from your schedule — these show up automatically as drafts, ready to publish. A VTO offer lets drivers volunteer to give up a scheduled shift; create one with the VTO button by picking a date and how many slots (drivers) may take it. A driver drop is a driver asking to give up a shift, and a driver swap is a driver offering to trade one — both are driver-initiated requests that come to you.
Reading the page
The list view is ordered by lifecycle. "Drafts & pending" holds admin drafts and driver requests that aren't in market yet — approve or publish to put them in front of drivers. "Live in Marketplace" is what drivers can see and act on right now. "Needs Final Approval" is the band to watch: a driver has claimed a shift, raised a hand for VTO, or confirmed a trade, and is waiting on you to finalize. "Resolved" keeps completed, rejected, and expired postings visible for the selected date range. A calendar view is available via the toggle, and the page refreshes itself every 30 seconds so new driver activity appears without a reload. Use the date range picker to look at a different window (it defaults to the current week).
Approving and finalizing
Click any posting to open its drawer. For a driver drop or swap request, you Approve (which publishes it to the marketplace) or Reject with an optional reason the driver will see. For a draft open shift or VTO, the action is "Publish to marketplace."
Once drivers respond, their offers appear in the same drawer with the driver's name and status. The final action depends on the posting: Assign for a shift claim, Release for a VTO taker, Approve for a confirmed swap. You can also Decline an offer, optionally with a note for the declined driver. Before you finalize, VoiceERP shows a compliance preview against your work-hours rules — rolling 7-day hours, days worked in a 7-day period, consecutive days, and maximum shift length — so you're never approving a claim blind. Approving a swap updates the schedule for both drivers immediately.
A posting that hasn't been accepted by anyone can still be removed, and rejected or expired postings stay in the Resolved band rather than disappearing, so there's always a record of what happened.
