Admins can send one Zap voice message to a whole wave or to several chosen people. Drivers do not see these options; their walkie still reaches one person at a time.
Opening the contacts
Open the walkie screen and tap the search key or screen to open Contacts. In the Classic look, the roster itself shows today's waves and the Select button.
Sending to a wave
Today's waves appear in a WAVES section, or TODAY'S WAVES in Classic. Each row shows the wave name and how many drivers are on it, such as "10:30 AM Wave" with "3 drivers."
Tap a wave row to start a recording to that wave. The recording bar says "Recording to 10:30 AM Wave." Press Cancel to stop, or Send to deliver it. A wave cannot be called; a wave row has only a mic key.
A greyed wave cannot be sent to. That means no drivers in the wave are signed in, or the roster is still loading. Once the roster finishes loading, the wave is available if someone in it is signed in.
Selecting several people
Admins can select more than one person and record one message to all of them.
In Contacts, tick the checkboxes beside people. In Classic, press Select to enter Select mode, or long-press a person. Tap rows to add or remove people. Inactive people cannot be selected. With no one selected, tapping a person still lands the dial on that person and closes the picker.
Once one or more people are checked, a selection bar appears. It shows "N selected" and offers:
Clear or Clear selection — removes the selection.
A mic key labeled "Record a voice message to N people" — starts the recording.
The recording bar then says "Recording to N people." Press Cancel or Send.
Search and selection
The Search contacts box matches wave names as well as people. If you search "10:30," the matching wave appears.
